Tuesday was the NFL’s first day back in business after the 136 day old lockout came to an end Monday. As of Tuesday, NFL teams may negotiate with free agents and conduct trades. Players are also allowed back into team facilities. Here is all the major news:

Major Cuts (in principle):

Ravens cut veterans Derrick Mason, Todd Heap, Willis McGahee, and Kelly Gregg
Cowboys cut veterans Marion Barber, Roy Williams, Leonard Davis, Kris Brown

Signings (in principle):

Seahawks agreed to terms former Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson
Santana Moss agrees to terms to return to the Redskins
Takeo Spikes, Randy McMichael, and Bob Sanders agreed to terms with the Chargers
Ike Taylor agrees to terms to return to the Steelers

The biggest news of the day is probably that Kevin Kolb wasn’t traded. Many people expected him to be traded early on Tuesday. The Seahawks removed themselves from the Kolb sweepstakes by signing Tarvaris Jackson making it even more likely that Kolb ends up in Arizona.
