Players Vote to Ratify New CBA

32 player representatives have officially voted to ratify the new collective bargaining agreement that was agreed to two weeks ago. Over the last two weeks, players could only sign but could not participate in practices with their team. As of today, all players may now practice. The league year has officially begun.

This CBA ensures labor peace for 10 years with no opt out clauses. If there was no lockout in the first place, today is the equivalent to March 5th. That was the scheduled day for the league year to begin.

The last two weeks have been very frustrating for teams as they have wanted to teach their newest signings the playbook but have been unable to. Teams must now act fast as preseason will start exactly one week from today.
